New Pianos

We have a wonderful selection of new pianos on display. Most piano manufacturers carefully select their piano agents. The qualities required are a good reputation and the ability to maintain their instruments to a high standard. Most new pianos have a five year guarantee, Kawai and Kemble pianos come with a ten year guarantee.

New pianos are designed to live in modern homes, whereas older instruments generally suffer with warmer conditions of modern living and this can seriously affect tuning stability.

Each acoustic piano is individual, no two are identical this is the special quality of a real piano. Every piano is adjusted to our customer's own requirements, even the new ones!

Reconditioned Pianos Workshops

Restoring a piano means putting it back into the condition it was in when new, without sacrificing the pianos unique qualities.

This process takes great skill, knowledge and time, resulting in a piano with a new lease of life. The process of rebuilding involves major structural work and can take many months to complete. Thorough restoration work is normally reserved for better quality makes of piano, which are worthy of this level of investment.

Please ask for further details and examples of our previous restoration work. Please contact us if you would like us to quote to restore your piano.

There are over 5,000 moving parts inside a piano. A great level of skill and experience is required to correctly set-up a piano action to play to its optimum level.

Previously Owned Pianos

Vale Pianos also offer a wide range of overhauled pianos, which include many popular makes such as Yamaha, Bechstein, Blüthner, Steinway, Broadwood, Welmar, Knight, Challen, Chappell and others. Many pianos from the 1970’s and 1980’s are smaller and less expensive than new pianos making them a good alternative for some people. Overhauled pianos are pianos that are fully serviced to ensure they are playing properly and are finely tuned. They tend to be pianos from the 1970’s onwards, which do not need full restoration.
